One Day At A Time
We are living in very difficult times. All of us are! Some more than others, but we always see our own situation as if it's worse off than anyone else's. It is in our nature to do this.
In the past two years we have been faced with many changes and we have been surrounded by death more frequently than usual. Some of us have lost friends and family members, sooner than expected, due to an unexpected virus that has caused the demise of many people.
What a sad situation! Some of us had to say goodbye to loved ones and weren't even able to attend a service or pay last respects. That's horrible!! For those of us that remain, we must be safe and take care of ourselves and each other. "We" are all we have. Humans have lost their sense of humanity. What was once common practice, for people to be good to one another, is no longer a thing.
I can honestly say as a follower of Christ, I am inclined to help people all the time. I get pleasure and satisfaction in knowing that I was able to make a difference in the life of someone else, not related to me, without expecting anything in return. It pains me to say that I am disgusted with the way humanity has turned out, and every day we get worse!
I eagerly await the second coming of the King of Kings, because this is the only thing that will ever make a difference and I pray it happens soon. I look forward to living in eternity with with our creator in a better place with an open heart and a loving heart.
